Agency Approvals and Certifications

Hazardous Area Approval and Certification

Installation of electrical equipment in plant locations where there is a risk of fire or explosion necessitates specially certified equipment. The authority with jurisdiction classifies hazardous areas. The properties of the flammable vapors, liquids, gases, combustible dust, or fibers that may be present, as well as the likelihood of an explosive concentration or quantity, are used to classify the material. The most common for electrical equipment in hazardous areas are IECEx (International), and either the Class/Division or Class/Zone System (North America).

Naftosense products perform in hazardous locations for oil & gas, refineries, and petrochemical applications where critical safety is required and subsequently carry all necessary and appropriate agency approvals and certifications.
