The FLD-HSC-TL is a high-performance passive hydrocarbon detector designed specifically for detecting the unwanted presence of a wide range of liquid hydrocarbons. This multiplexed sensor cable provides quick reaction to light and heavy hydrocarbons and can be used in outdoor environments. The detected hydrocarbons are primarily gasoline, diesel, jet fuel, motor oils, lube, and transformer oils, etc. The FLD-HSC-TL sensor cable is offered as factory- assembled modular sensor with heavy-duty waterproof connectors (variant -C), or as fixed-length encapsulated sensor string with 10-ft leader cable.
The sensor is specially engineered for reliable operation in both indoor and outdoor conditions. The waterproof connectors of -C version allow the sensor to be immune to short-term immersion in water. The encapsulated version is designed for long-term immersion in water in demanding outdoor conditions. The semi-conductive sensor material is extremely durable and can withstand long-term exposure to temperatures in excess of 212°F/100°C. The sensor cable is UV resistant, anti- static, anti-termite and anti-rodent and can be used in tropical applications.
FLD-O2W-SP is a fully encapsulated high-performance sensing probe designed for detecting leaks of refined products or crude oil floating on water surface in extreme environmental conditions. This probe can also be used as cost-effective zero-false-alarms hydrocarbon fumes detector. UV/ozone resistant, it is specially engineered for reliable operation during long-term immersion in water and in icing conditions and is suitable for polar applications. The maximum length of sensor probe is limited to 48-in / 122 cm. The sensing probe can be wired to the acquisition module through an optional jumper cable with a maximum length of 300ft. / 90m. Advanced measurement techniques and data treatment algorithms are used by Naftosense monitoring modules to provide quick detection in a very wide temperature range. The sensor is reusable and easily detachable for cleaning.
FLD-O2W-SP probe is designed to be used exclusively with acquisition modules or intrinsically safe field boxes offered by Naftosense providing industry-standard analog outputs, dry contacts, or serial communication protocols for flexible integration with third-party monitoring panels or PLC.
FLD-SMC is a high-performance all in one monitoring controller built into one budget conscious package. It is designed for detecting leaks of refined petroleum products and solvents in extreme environmental conditions when installed with approved sensors FLD-HSC-TL and FLD-O2W-SP. The device is a wall-mounted standalone leak detection controller. The maximum sensor length is limited to 150-ft/45 m per FLD-SMC distributed in three separate zones.
