Naftosense recently partnered with Lindsay™ for a completely battery powered standalone leak detection system. The Lindsay™ Elecsys SentraLink LD system is a "turn-key" monitoring solution for use with Naftosense Poly-Absorptive (PAS) sensors. The Lindsay™ SentraLink LD is a remote monitoring unit (RMU) that has been paired with a Naftosense controller. This system enables PAS hydrocarbon sensors to be deployed anywhere in the pipeline system, facilitating early detection of liquid pipeline leaks in even the most remote areas. gives clients the ability to deploy a 100% battery powered leak detection in such remote areas - with no power and communications.

Previously, one would have to "walk or fly over” these remote areas physically, looking for signs of leakage. This is extremely expensive and time consuming. Many times, small leaks are not detected using the visual inspection method until it is too late. The combined Naftosense / Lindsay™ solution provides an economical way to monitor for leaks in very remote locations (typically block valves, pipelines, stub ups, pig launchers, and remote non-monitored facilities).
Since the Lindsay™ offering is also hazardous area approved, the combined offering has been deployed in hundreds of remote sites over the last year. Clients appreciate the standalone system - using cellular or satellite communications - to report to a dashboard (via Elecsys Connect) that shows the actual locations on Google Maps. In addition, the configurable text and email leak alerts showing the volume of leak. Furthermore, the GPS location of the sensor is indicated, so that a client can take the appropriate actions to remedy the situation quickly, before it becomes a recordable incident.
